PERU 2017-Post 18. At Last, A Rest Day

Saturday July 15

Our travel schedules always seem so action packed that we rarely find time to rest...  so finally we had a rest (blogging) day.  But what could be a better way to finish a rest day than by enjoying association and hospitality with our hosts and some of our friends in Arequipa.

Preparing the tortillas. .

Paul cooking up a Peruvian storm.

Cooking the tortillas.

And when the food is done the singing begins. Everyone joins in.  Peruvian songs, Mexican songs, the Beetles and Kingdom Songs.

Delicious desserts.

Paul sang a beautiful song that he composed especially for Ruth.

Socrates and Elizabeth on the left, Paul and Ruth at the rear, Eduardo with the guitar and Nina at front, Hector at the back. Freddie, Gina and Damaris and Alexandra.

It was a truly joyful way to spend the evening. We felt enveloped in Peruvian culture and hospitality.
